Amazing Women

How many of you have read this book?
If you have not had the pleasure I urge to pick up a copy and dive in to the lives of some pretty amazing women.
The five women focused on are: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. The stories are chronologically arranged to demonstrate the progression of the women who are specifically mentioned in the Biblical record of the lineage of Jesus Christ. Their history is so vividly brought to life in these stories, I finished this book in record time. What was amazing to me was how each story was so unique and took place so long ago yet still reflected things so many of us as women still struggle with today...betrayal, abuse, past mistakes, demands of culture and "religion", feelings of unworthiness, and struggle within our families. So many great details that she respectfully and carefully wove in to the historical accounts we read in the bible. I found myself wishing for more at the end of each story. I left each one thanking God for His grace and mercy. Diving right back into my bible to read and study His account of these women.
This is a book I would love to to with a group of women as a study and one I can not recommend enough to all of you who read this blog. If you have read this book I would love to hear what you thought of it...so please share :)

I was going to e-mail you back, but couldn't find your address.

Yes, I've done lapbooks with my crew before. They're great fun and an excellent tool for learning.

I can't wait to hear how it goes tomorrow. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't go exactly like you think it will (I speak from experience!).
